Why it's saved

Kagi has the hardest pitch on the internet — pay for something Google gives away — and the page treats that skepticism as its outline. “Reclaim the web, restore your privacy” opens onto paired mockups of an ad-cluttered results page versus a clean one, then a tour of Translate, News and Summarize, each framed as “useful tools, zero surveillance.” The mascot doggo wanders through in loose ink drawings, softening a privacy argument that could easily have been all fear.

What earns the save is the FAQ’s first entry: “Is the web really that bad? It seems fine to me!” — a company steel-manning its own doubters in the dark closing band.
